Photopuncture

Photopuncture

Acupuncture has been around for at least 2000 years. It is a popular healing modality world over for those seeking drug-free solutions.

There are, however, people who are reluctant to try acupuncture because they don’t like needles. The good news is, you can now have all the benefits of acupuncture without the needles!

This is due to the discovery that light of specific frequency and intensity activates acupuncture points in the same way the needles do. This is now known as Photopuncture, photonic acupuncture, or acupuncture with light.

In Photopuncture, we use a light therapy device with a focused beam to activate energy points along the acupuncture meridians. Research has shown that light travels along these meridians, just like it does along fiber optic cables, opening and balancing the energetic flow in its wake. With Photopuncture we can quickly open or unblock energy – freeing joints, muscle knots and other physical imbalances.

Photopuncture has been used on animals and humans for over 25 years. It is now being recognised by acupuncture schools and international light therapy programs.

We can now use light instead of pharmaceutical drugs to address different health conditions.

Photopuncture Process

Photopuncture is a targeted application of therapeutic light to specific energy points to affect the whole body. It is performed by applying a focused beam of light to acupuncture points for 15 – 180 seconds per point. The timing depends on the device and the health condition being addressed. Unlike acupuncture, where the needles usually stay in for about half an hour, the light beam can activate acupuncture points in a much shorter time.

When do we use Photopuncture?

  • General Health and Balance tune-ups
  • Structural imbalances
  • Emotional issues
  • Detoxification
  • Hormonal issues
  • Allergies
  • Immune system issues
  • Chronic health challenges
  • Ear / nose / throat / dental issues

Photopuncture Tools

Photopuncture tools are torches specially designed for targeted acupoint work. We used them specifically to activate acupuncture points and move energy ‘chi’ along the meridians.

The torches we use have both Red and Infrared light to reach deeper into the body. The torches also have a fiber-optic probe attachment that allows for lighting in tight spaces like the mouth, sinuses, ear canals and puncture wounds.
